Florida Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Classic

Its that time again for Team Third Law competitors to test their skills at the tournament level. Competing to take home some gold medals for the school and to improve their Jiu Jitsu games. Not only is Team Third Law going to be tearing this competition up but future competitions to come.
This tournament is a great tournament to get experience since the rules and the way it is set up is exactly like an IBJJF tournament. The weight classes are the same and the rules are set up the same so it really allows you to get use to the highest level of competition rules and regulations. A great tournament for up and coming white belts that will really give them a great opportunity to test their skills in competition.
This tournament like other tournaments in the Florida is relatively inexpensive to register, and once registered you will be able to start your road to becoming a great competitor. Competition is a very important aspect of improving your Jiu Jitsu game and not only at Team Third Law do we train competitors, but people that just want to get into better shape and learn a martial art that is going to allow them to feel more confident in themselves.

Teen Competitors – Team Third Law – Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

In this video Jake Huffman one of our teen competitors did extremely well in the Abu Dhabi this past weekend taking second place in his division where he fought mostly blue belts, and ended up losing his last match to take the silver. Jake is a prime example that we have a very strong competition team and we are developing more and more competitors to compete at the highest level.
We have a lot of teens around Jakes age which is 15 coming up and wanting to compete so definitely expect more videos in the future of competitors tearing up their divisions just like Jake is doing. So If your interested in a martial arts program for your son, or daughter let us know because we have a great program for them that you don’t want to miss out on.
The atmosphere at Team Third Law is a perfect atmosphere for your young son or daughter. Its a place where your child will make new friends, get in better shape, and learn a martial art that will allow her to defend herself in the future, and not only that but it could turn into something they really enjoy and carry with them far into the future…

White Belt Competition Team Tryouts

Tonight on Jan 23, 2010 we are going to put some of the most dedicated students. Students who want to start competing to improve their Jiu Jitsu, through one of the hardest tests of their lives. We look forward to seeing the people who said they were coming and to have a nice tryout. By just showing up to this at 3:00 AM you are telling us that you are commited and you want to compete.
That being said if you are interested in competition and live in the South-West FL area then you have to check out Team Third Law BJJ of Naples, FL you won’t be disappointed. We have had tremendous success at competitions locally and internationally and have plans to compete even more internationally this year. If you have read Roberto Torralbas blog about his goals for 2010 he states in their that he wants to bring back international titles to the school, maybe that could be you…
The competition team tryouts are far from easy, you are going to have to push yourself mentally and physically beyond what you thought your body could possibly handle. By you showing us that you are will to push like this when we start to train you we know your not going to quit if it gets too tough.
