Combat Gold & New Techniques

In Combat Gold the advanced program at Team Third Law, we have been working on a back of the tricep grip in the closed guard and all of the attacks from there. Not only is this grip pretty unstoppable if you understand to never let go of the grip, and when you do the technique fails. If you follow the main principle of holding the back of the arm and moving your hips around the person looking for sweeps, submissions, and never let the grip on the back of the arm be broken you can use this move very effectively

The combat gold program is the advanced program at Team Third Law for the students at the school that are most dedicated to the team. No one is going to be able to stop you with the new things we are teaching in combat gold. The series of attacks that it opens up is insane. Just from a certain type of grip that you can get on the person can control the entire situation that you in and end the fight quick. The reason why their is a picutre of Wilson Reis is because soon in combat gold we will be working on his guard pass that he has been super effective with and unlock the secrets of his pass.

Combat gold once again is the program for our most advanced students and we don’t play around in the class. Its a class for hardworking individuals that want to get better at Jiu Jitsu and are dedicated the the martial art. Not only is this a program for the most dedicated but the up-comers at the school. Look soon for more articles regarding new students destroying the opposition with these techniques.

Sebastian Lopez Fighting From Closed Guard

Sebastian Lopez Fighting From Closed Guard

This month in the ciriculum at Team Third Law has been all about working inside of the closed guard and all the most effective techniques that our school teaches. These include the Arm drag series, bump sweep series, traingle setup, unstopbable armbar, and trapped arm sweep. For more information on our ciriculm visit… http://www.ThirdLawCoach.com

This website shows all the techniques we have been teaching in class over the past couple of months and what to work on with the techniques. Most schools don’t offer this but we feel that it will only improve your Jiu Jitsu game if you can go home and research the technique being done on your own. This coming week we will start to work on the flow drills of closed guard and at this point in the ciriculum the drills really start to stick into your mind.

Flow drills are the best way to get good at a series of techniques because all of the drills flow together in a series of different variations and that in a nutshell is how Jiu Jitsu works. Action – reaction Jiu Jitsu, if the person does this I go for that its a very simple way of learning and its the best way to learn because you will never be lost in a position if you know all of the variations of techniques involved with the position. So make sure you come to class this week and make your closed guard game UNSTOPPABLE.

Importance Of The Closed Guard

Closed Guard

Closed Guard

The closed guard is a guard that you will use in Jiu Jitsu for your entire career. It is the guard when it defines learning a series of techniques and where you should start out when developing your guard. There is so many different sweeps, submissions, back-takes and the possibilities are endless. Simply because you are at such a great advantage when you get someone into your closed guard and you know a system of attacks. At this point there is only mistakes to be made by your opponent from there.

At Team Third Law for this entire month of February we are going to be drilling all the series of techniques involved with the closed guard to really sharpen our games. The system we teach here is unstoppable if you put it to work and know every technique involved. When you know the different variations that the other person can do to and know  how to stop them then the rest is history for you opponent. Learning the closed guard is SUPER essential to become a very good Jiu Jitsu practitioner.

The proof is in the videos you can check out at http://www.Youtube.com/Team Third Law you can see some of our competitors tearing apart the opposition with the closed guard. We teach our student to look for triggers, someone putting their hands on the mat go for a kimura. If someone goes to wipe sweat off of their face then go for a bump sweep. If you learn these little things and when to capitalize on them you will be unstoppable wit the closed guard. To check out Third law and learn the closed guard series we teach visit….
