Before going to tournaments you have to prepare yourself mentally and physically. When your prepared mentally you have a gameplan developed, you feel confident in your abilities and know what your good at and what works for you. Being prepared physically means you have been training hard lately getting in great shape fir the tournament and you have a hotel room, registered, and have transportation.
The two main aspects of being prepared would be mentally and physically. Therefore having a devloped gameplan knowing exactly what you are going to do and sticking to it in your match. since you have a gameplan it makes you so much more confident in yourself and when your gameplan is working in your match.
The key point is that you shouldn’t just wake up the day of the tournament and compete without being a little bit prepared. It only makes sense to do these things before a tournament because they’ll increase your preformance during the match….

Usually NAGA tournaments are fairly organized but you will be there the whole day either waiting to fight or waiting for one of you teamates to fight. Its always a great time and awesome experience for new compeitors coming into the grappling scene or experienced who want some tough matches. We had AWESOME !!! results last weekend at the Abu Dhabi Trials in the same location where this tournament is going to be held as well.
We plan on bringing around the same amount of competitors as last time possibly more depending on if some of the new incoming members of the white belt competition team tryout step up to the plate and want to start competing. Not only is Team Third Law the best school in the South West Florida Area for martial arts but the best school on the PLANET to train. Also, if you haven’t became a Roberto Torralbas fan on face book you should. Its going to allow you to see all of the tournament results and video clips of our students tearing it up in competition.
As you can see from the video up above, if your a person who wants to get in better shape, join a group of people that are going to help acheive your goals no matter how hard they seem. Then this school is the school for you, believe me when I say that Team Third Law is the best school on the planet and I wouldn’t say that if I truly did not mean that. Today is the day for the Abu Dhabi trials, so wish us all luck at the tournament and we got some great news to share with you guys for those of you that don’t know the school is growing, more people, more mat space, more everything and this is because of all the hardwork the students have put into the mats. To make the training enviroment at Team Third Law BJJ the best school anyone could ask for.
On another note, the school is continuing to grow and for those of you that don’t know we are EXPANDING, that’s right expanding the school next door so that we have DOUBLE the mat space for you guys to train in and possibly DOUBLE the class sizes that way you have more people to train with and less down time. Because I have said it once I will say it a million times, Time is your most important asset and you need to manage what you are doing with your time to make effective use of it at all times
For example, as soon as the people next door move their stuff out we are going to open up a doorway, put the mats down and start implementing the brand new mat space that we are going to have available for you guys. So check back here to see the Results of the latest tournaments in the next blog post and new adventures Team Third Law will be taking endeavors in.

As you can see from this video, tomorrow is the day of the Abu Dhabi Trials, and all of Team Third Law competiors that were hungry to show their stuff at this tournament are going to be displaying their skills tommorow and hopefully bringing home some shinny golds to decorate the walls of Team Third Law.
This tournament is a big tournament, and a first tournament at a new level for Chris Ocampo one of Team Third laws recent blue belts. Like I said earlier our team is really hungry to compete to do really well and display how the instruction at Team Third Law is top notch. Although this is a big tournament it isn’t an international Brazilain Jiu Jitsu competition, which is where Roberto is shooting to get medals from this year.
So this event being a great event to get some awesome mat experience in for Pan-Ams coming in April, Worlds, and other large tournaments, were the team can help Roberto Torralbas reach his goal of some International Titles. You can read more on that article in a later post and also on http://wwww.BJJEnginer.com
